Rules and Guidelines

Here are the access instructions for getting into methodz:

Getting In

  • Entrance: 210 Cook Street, Brooklyn, NY 11206 (around the corner from 4 Evergreen Ave)

  • Walk up the ramp to the lockbox on the left side

  • Lockbox code: 0808

  • Take the key fob from inside

    • If there’s no fob, a class or rental is likely already in session

  • Use the fob or building code 9256 to enter

  • Head to Unit 107 (Methodz Studio)

  • Use the fob to enter the studio

    • If needed, ring the doorbell for access

5-Minute Grace Period

To keep things running smoothly for everyone:

  • You may enter the lobby area 5 minutes before your rental

  • You have 5 minutes after your rental ends to gather your belongings

Important: You must be off the marley floor and disconnected from the speaker exactly at your end time.

This helps us respect everyone’s time—thank you for being considerate of the community 💛

Getting Set Up

Lights

  • Main overhead lights: switch near the entrance

  • Spotlights & lobby lights: buttons below the main switch

    • Option 1 = moodier/darker

    • Option 2 = brighter

  • Press once to turn on, again to turn off

  • If a light glitches, toggle it again

Sound

  • Bluetooth speaker is located by the mirror (right side of the marley)

  • Turn it on and connect via your device

Rules

  • No food or drinks on the marley

  • Street shoes must be wiped before stepping on the floor

  • You break it, you buy it (including lost/damaged key fobs)

  • If you’re teaching: you are responsible for your students

    • All participants must complete the waiver (QR code at entrance)

  • Do not hang on barres or press against mirrors

When You Leave

  • Take all belongings (lost & found is near the entrance)

  • Turn off the speaker

  • Set AC/heat to ~68 or turn it off

  • Turn off all lights

  • Return the key fob to the lockbox and scramble the code

  • Trouble exiting? Press the button on the wall next to the door

  • Wifi box is located in the bottom right cubby, scan the QR code on the back!

  • Restrooms: located on both sides of the building

  • Water fountain: to the right when exiting the unit

  • AC/Heat control: in the lobby near the Methodz mirror

    • Please return it to its holder after use

  • Coffee and water are available in the lobby ☕️
